Find a Place to Belong Part 1: Alabama to Hawaii

Being a secular homeschooler usually comes with two unique challenges.....finding secular curriculum and finding secular/inclusive homeschool groups within the local community.
The second is the driving force for this post.  To the best of my ability, I have compiled a list of secular/inclusive homeschool groups in the United States.

I've decided to do this blog in installments simply because finding groups and verifying that they are active takes a lot of time and for some reason my children insist that I feed and care for them.

I hope you find this and the post to come helpful.  If you notice that I forgot a group, please tell me and I will be happy to add it!

Feel free to share this with anyone who you think will find it helpful!  Have a great day!

  1. We just began a co-op in our area this fall. It does not have a label to it either way. It is clear in our mission that we are neither a religious based or secular based but we are an EDUCATIONAL homeschool coop.

    1. Thank you BethAnne, I will be sure to add your group to the list!

  2. OMG. As a military mom that's planning on homeschooling, I thank you. This list will be so immensely helpful as we move about from place to place! You are a doll!!

    THANK YOU!!!

    1. Rowena (love the name, BTW), you're welcome. I'm happy you found it useful. I hope to have the rest of the list completed by the end of the week.

  3. Can you add Augusta Secular Homeschool League for Georgia?

  4. Secular Homeschoolers of Central Georgia no longer exists.

  5. California - please change RK SoCal Teens to HomeschoolingTnT
